Community Interest Survey: Islamic Psychology Training Initiative

IslamicFamily is exploring the opportunity to host a weekend intensive in Islamic Psychology with Dr. Abdallah Rothman here in Edmonton. Dr. Rothman is a leading voice in the field, known for his meaningful integration of Islamic tradition with psychological practice. He is the founder of Dar al-Shifaa and co-founder and Executive Director of the International Association of Islamic Psychology, with deep expertise at the intersection of Islamic spirituality and mental health.


Alongside his faculty, Dr. Rothman will offer a three-day, 20-hour intensive training. This will be considered a Level 1 course, providing eligibility for Level 2 certification for those pursuing a professional path in Islamic Psychology. For others, it will offer foundational knowledge and practical techniques that can be applied in work with clients, patients, students, and community members.
